Potrebno za testo:
500 gr brašna
150 gr maslaca
100 gr šećera u prahu
3 žumanca
1 kockica kvasca
125 ml mleka
korica limuna
so Za nadev:
200 gr maka
100 ml mleka
50 gr maslaca
200 gr šećera
2 kašike meda
kora limuna
žumance za premazivanje
U mlako mleko otopite kvasac,dodajte kašiku brašna i malo šećera i ostavite da nadođe. Omekšali maslac i šećer u prahu dobro umutite,postepeno dodajte žumanca i struganu koricu od limuna. Umešajte i brašno koje ste pomešali sa solju i na kraju dodajte nadošli kvasac.
Testo dobro umesite,pokrijte krpom i ostavite ga da udvostruči zapreminu.
Priprema nadeva:
Stavite mleko da provri sa šećerom i njime poparite mleveni mak. U omekšali maslac,dodajte mak,izrendanu koricu limuna,med.
Nadošlo testo podeliti na dva dela. Na pobrašnjenoj podlozi razvucite jednu polovinu testa, nanesite polovinu nadeva i urolajte koru s obe strane ka sredini.
Štrudlu pažljivo prebacite u duguljast, uzak kalup i ostavite još 30 minuta da odstoji.Sve isto ponovite i sa drugom polovinom testa.
Premažite žumancetom i pecite oko 45 minuta na 180 °C.

Gala poppy seed roll
Dough ingredients : 500 gr of flour 150 gr of butter 100 gr of powdered sugar 3 yolks 1 cube of fresh yeast 125 ml of milk lemon zest salt
Filling: 200 gr of poppy seeds 100 ml of milk 50 gr of butter 200 gr of sugar 2 tablespoons of honey

Soak yeast in some warm milk together with one tablespoon of flour and little bit of sugar and let it foam. Mix soft butter and sugar and gradually add yolks and lemon zest. Add flour which you combined with salt and lastly add foamed yeast. Knead dough and cover with clean cloth and let it double in size.
Filling preparations:
Place milk in a sauce pan and let it come to boil. Pour it over poppy seeds and let it stand a bit. In soft butter incorporate poppy seeds mix, lemon zest and honey. Divide proofed dough into two equal parts. On floured surface roll out each one, spread with filling and roll from both sides at the same time towards the middle. Transfer strudel carefully onto long baking tray and let it rest for 30 more minutes. Do the same thing with other dough.Before baking brush with egg yolk and bake for 45 minutes at 180 °C.
I ja bih ovo da pravim ali ne znam kako se kaze "mak" na engleskom... pogledala na netu ali daju samo poppy i papaver sto su nazivi cveta maka (a trenutno bas nije najpametnije mahati tom terminologijom po UK)... ako znas sta treba da trazim u prodavnici - javi!!!
